nowhereboy Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 For some reason I thought my mot was due in june but its actually due now! Epic fail saying as ive just spent over a grand on wheels and suspension mods. Anyway the million dollar question is should my stretched tyres be ok or is it a fail now? I didnt consider this when fitting them (what an idiot). Im running 225 on a 9j and 245 on a 10j. Quote
nowhereboy Posted April 1, 2015 Author Posted April 1, 2015 Gonna be living on beans on toast and supernoodles all month if i need new tyres haha... Quote
pjf1985 Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Mine went through ok with stretched tyres, might just come up as an advisory. If not find a friendly mechanic Quote
mouthwash Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Just looked at your other thread and I would say your tyres are hardly stretched (might just be the angle) so I'd imagine they will go through just fine. Quote
pjf1985 Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 I have 225 on a 9.5J and 245 on a 10.5J with no issues. 1 Quote

GIXXERUK Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Why would starched tyres fail an MOT ? stiff side walls 2 Quote
Grundy Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 The problem is, too much misconception on what a stretched tyre is... All the above are fails of life and what stretch really is. These are fails - Due to safety. Now this is what a lot of tyres on a 350z will be like with aftermarket wheels - Yes you could class it as stretch, but it's not really :/ Hope this helps some people out. 1 Quote
nowhereboy Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 Just for the record the Z passed no problems, didn't even mention the tyres Quote
