radjordan Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 I got a stubby from eBay. It was only about 2in long and as a result the radio didn't work very well. What's the best one to get bearing in mind I need a good radio. Thank you Quote
Pritchard Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 i recently got a stubby aerial fitted... its about 3" ( i think?). its from tarmac, was the longer of the two sold. is it any good? i detest the radio and dont listen to it. but when i retuned by radio i did notice that a full scan of FM only gave me classical and Radio2 on auto-search, when usualy i pickup kiss, Capital , and bbc essex (bearing in mind im quite deep into Kent!) but that was one auto-search from the driveway. as said i dont listen to radio at all. no idea how well it reall picks up signals. but in reality, the longer OEM is going to work better than (proably all) shorter aerials. SHEZZA Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 A honda RDX stubby is the one you want PM Chris at Tarmac Sportz or Steve at Redline styling. Quote
gumpy000 Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 (edited) I have a stubby off a Juke Did a little swap and works fine. But kiss does lose signal a tag but nothing major. Edited March 2, 2015 by gumpy000 Quote
radjordan Posted March 2, 2015 Author Posted March 2, 2015 Thanks for all the input. I understand that a smaller one won't be as good I just want to loose as little as possible Quote
kingrob Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 I got one off ebay and it was crap then got honda RDX off tarmac was 100 times better Quote
WhackyWill Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 As all above said Honda RDX from either Tarmac or Redline traders on here, works perfectly. I also did the Nismo Carbon one from eBay..Total cr*p... Quote
brillomaster Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 yep, tried a cheapo one off ebay, rubbish reception, and the thread rusted in the aerial mount. Replaced with a Honda RDX aerial, looks a lot better and radio reception is perfect. Redline styling also sell RDX aerials at a good price. Quote
