zxrob Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Hi all Am I correct in thinking that you don't need a code for the stereo if you disconnect the battery as it is paired to the ecu Cheers Rob Quote
techinstaller Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Yes you are correct if it s your original car and original HU mate Quote
RDON Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 nope! mine is original to the zed and I needed the code! I think I remember reading it wipes if disconnected more than 2 hours but don't quote me on that.( I had mine disconnected for at least half a day when it happened to me. just got the serial off the back of the HU and rang Nissan for the code. Clarkie Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 i used to disconnect my battery for months at a time and never once had to put the code in Quote
veeg33 Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 My zed's cabin electronics screwed up when I short circuit'ed whilst fitting LED lights and I had disconnected the battery more than 10 times trying to reset my zed. Never need to enter code into my original Bose HU. Not sure why some zed needs a code tho? Mine's a UK GT model. I wonder if that can function can be turned off hence it won't ask for code when battery is disconnected. Quote
