maddog1982 Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I have just bought a set of these for the frond of my 350. Do you guys follow the normal brake in procedure? IE 60 to 40 multiple times? Or because there a different compound use a different method? Also does anyone know the size of the cotter pins for the calipers? I want to get a few spare as when we did the rears one broke when removing it. Quote
Ewen@Clark Motorsport Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Theres no specific bed in procedure, the best idea is a few slow downs from say 60 to 30 with medium pressure then a few more from 70 to 20 with more pressure and then drive to let them cool. As long as you don't bring them to a halt when hot you'll be fine 1 Quote
Mikey81 Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 (edited) There is a proper bedding in procedure which comes in the box. Conveniently I have a box sat here. Perform 25-30 trial brake application, each for approx 4 seconds using around 50% of normal race pedal pressure, check them afterwards to make sure they have a flat contact patch is the basics I would follow that if you can, they will have tested different methods. In reality it will probably be fine whatever you do Edited December 3, 2014 by Mikey81 1 Quote
