Page Layout > Watermark > Remove Watermark

It's not something that the PDF converter usually does.

found that - its still there

Is it on any document? Can he send you the document / can you open it and print to PDF just fine?

If so call I.T and get them to recreate his profile, usually the easiest way to solve nonsense things like this.

just tried removing background colour - its now gone

the odd thing about it though is that it wasn't showing in the word doc

Why would anyone use print to PDF software anymore if you've got Office 2007(pretty sure it's 2007)+? It has the feature built in to save a document to PDF.

Depends if you've got the add-in installed http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=7

How about using conversion software for converting other types of document to PDF. Or, printing a web page to PDF which is what I use it for.
