SlickRick Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Hi guys I have a 350GT and I'm planning to get it remapped. I already plan to have the plenum spacer, new panel filter and a velocity stack for the air box but I wanted to know who's had either new exhaust but no HFCs or vice versa or both and what differences are? Because I'm getting a mixture of answers from people and hearing that the gains difference is minimal Quote
Grundy Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Gains are gains. Loads of threads - but to save time... Want max gains, you change your cats, y-pipe and exhaust /thread Quote
hensh65 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Bare in mind the gains are minimal with all the above mentioned mods. In percentages, the overall gains will be a lot less if you stick with the oem cats. Quote
SlickRick Posted October 29, 2014 Author Posted October 29, 2014 Ye I do kinda feel with this engine you gotta grab everything you can get no matter how small for the add up at the end! I'm going to abbey Horsham for the work. Mark has suggested a new exhaust system and HFCs with the other stuff, when I said do NEED exhaust cause mine is still pretty fresh (under 25k miles) he said will be alright with standard exhaust but you definitely want the HFCs and then others who've had up Rev are saying don't bother... It's all opinions I guess. A lot money for maybes Quote
GT4 Zed Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Abbey Horsham :scare: As already said. Gains are gains. You have to decide the worth and cost to yourself. 1 Quote
GMballistic Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Abbey Horsham :scare: Opening soon near to South Wales I hope. Op personally if you're spending all that money on the UpRev then I'd definitely get the HFC's at least, ...full exhaust system with it if you can. If you want more performance then that's the way to get it plus you will have the added bonus of your car sounding a lot nicer. It's also possible that you could offset some of the costs by selling on your old exhaust system & Cats especially if they are in good condition. Quote
