Spatt Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 wheels are 5 x 114.3 PCD offsets are et35 ive been told me standard 235 and 245 tyres will fit them am i doing something wrong buying these? Quote
mouthwash Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 If you want dirt cheap wheels, go look in my for sale thread Quote
AliveBoy Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 are they ugly? are they likely to shatter into a bazillion pieces at the first bump in the road? Are they so concave they won't clear the brembo brakes? If you can say no to all of these, crack on Quote
Spatt Posted September 1, 2014 Author Posted September 1, 2014 running a 235 front? on the standard 'touring' wheels becuase thats what came off? The wheels will have to be fitted to check the rotate and they aren't battered up so i guess they wont break up (Hopefully) they have a dish and they look like Work wheels so im game if they fit PCD and ET sound ok?? KyleR Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 225/45/18 is the standard OEM sized front tyres Quote
Spatt Posted September 1, 2014 Author Posted September 1, 2014 S*** then i need to do some more homework next time and not just assume the guy before me did the right thing. Car handles great on this size tyre tho im running 235/40/18 and 245 rear Quote
AliveBoy Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 PCD and ET sound ok?? Sound fine to me, maybe a touch weak in the ET department, some spacers might be required to get them looking spot on. Quote
Spatt Posted September 1, 2014 Author Posted September 1, 2014 i have spacers right now front and rear so im hoping that wont be an issue.. the guy said i could try them on for size and see how they sit.. i just had a look on drift works because a friend recommended it Quote
StevoD Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 hard to say with out seeing but my ultralites with et35 needed a 20mm spacer to fit Quote

Car handles great on this size tyre tho im running 235/40/18 and 245 rear They'll probably run without any issues, but when it comes to putting new tyres on, just get the right ones Quote
brillomaster Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 what widths are they? staggered or square setup? cos someone saying that 235 and 245 will fit on them doesn't really say a lot, that could be anywhere from 7.5" to maybe a 9.5" at a stretch. knowing the offset is fairly meaningless without knowing the width. Spatt Posted September 1, 2014 Author Posted September 1, 2014 heres the add http://www.driftworks.com/forum/wheels-tyres-sale-private-sales/226175-dishy-jap-rims-5x114-3-18x8j-18x9j-et35-all-round.html Quote
Spatt Posted September 1, 2014 Author Posted September 1, 2014 18x8j ET35 front, 225/40/18 budget tyres with a little tread left 18x9j ET35 rear, 225/40/18 budget tyres... definitely need changing for road use, fine if you're skidding Quote
KyleR Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Your tyres will be fine Just consider swapping the size of the fronts when the time comes Quote
Spatt Posted September 1, 2014 Author Posted September 1, 2014 what does 8j and 9j mean? is that the width?.. i know you can put a slightly narrower tyre on a wider rim for the 'stretch' look but tbh im not that bothered about that i prefer performance Quote
AliveBoy Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 do it, if they don't fit you'll get more than that on ebay Quote
