KyleR
I think it's more to do with the reception in your area. Did you buy the car with the stubby? What was reception like when you had the fishing rod?
johnny cobra
Reception was good with the fishing rod !! .
SHEZZA
What stubby you got ? I had a aluminium bee sting and struggled to get radio one. Fitted a RDX and it's 100% better , though never had a fishing rod.
Ridz
I had the OEM aerial fitted to mine and changed it to a stubby I purchased of Amazon. It was ok, but suffered from signal drop out in rural areas. Replaced it with a RDX stubby from Redline Styling, a trader on this forum, and had no reception problems since! It was reasonably priced at around £14, if I remember correctly. Contact Steve at Redline to check stock.

SHEZZA
I'd say so mate, get yourself an RDX either from Tarmac or Redline styling.
