Water temperature sensor/gauge

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

So I want to add what I believe to be a water temperature sensor/gauge to the engine bay; I think I have seen a few examples on the forum and have found a mishimoto example but have no idea how a gauge is connected. They seem to be located where the bleed nipple/screw is.

I have probably seen the examples spoke of on FI zeds and could be mistaking this gauge for something else  but worth a query!

That's a fuel pressure gauge, if I'm not very much mistaken.

*EDIT* In the pics, not your adaptor tee Alex!

That is not what you require for a temp sensor. :surrender:

If you have the gauge and sensor then all you require is something like this:

Alex. :)

Ok so I can fit a gauge to your example or am I completely missing the point? :headhurt:

No, you fit the sensor to the adaptor.

The gauge goes inside the car.

Why would you want a temp. gauge in the engine bay you Wally. unless you have x-ray eyes. :surrender:

I was only half joking.

If you want it for the look, just buy a gauge and connect a short bit of hose to it, then run that hose down to somewhere no one will ever see and leave it there. Saves the cost and the hassle. :)
