Reskin leather interior

Dreamer

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I just bought a 2008 350 z which is in great condition with a little wear and tear. I was thinking to start on the interior and one thing that stuck out was the leather seats.

I was wondering is it possible to Reskin the current leather seats or is it better to replace.

If I can just upgrade the seats leather can I get it sort of custom made? I've been looking everywhere for somewhere in UK but can't seem to find anywhere if it exists.

I saw these covers and thought similar design would look great. Replacing the blue trim and the Z with white and keeping the black leather if possible.

There are loads of companies it all depends on the search words you put in.

Here are some. http://www.leatherca...ecialists.co.uk

It took 2 mins to find these and they will all re-trim your seats.

Average price is £1200.

I still notice that some of you are referring and advising on black dye.

Nissan 350z did not come as standard in black.

They look black because of the filth and dirt ground in from lack of proper cleaning.

The colour is Anthracite and can be bought from http://www.buffaloleather.co.uk

If you put black dye on you will notice the difference as Anthracite is 4 shades lighter.

Never put dye on a un-cleaned seat.

At this time of year the only thing stopping it rubbing off in great big dollops on ya butt is the heat from the sun sticking it to the seat.

As soon as Winter comes it will start to come off.

Yes it does look nice when its done, but the idea is to keep it looking nice for as long as possible.

Follow the instructions on Buffalo or on my own threads and you will have a lasting repair.
