There's a good one in Halifax, 40mins ish from Manchester. After refurb, they will look like show room alloys! I did my mini cooper wheels recently, had them done by a powder coater company hence I need to get them alloys ready myself. £5 each to remove the tyres, £15 each to fit tyres, valve and balanced. That's £80 before you start. Then for all 4-off 16inch alloys, it cost me £120. So £200 in total. 6ebyge2e.jpg

I can recommend The Wheel Specialists, who are Manchester based. They did a great job on refurbing my Zed's alloys in January this year, and they still look like new.

Great, same day service, with knowledgeable staff. Range of finishes too!

Probably £80 per wheel, but ask for a Zed club discount.

Around here - Hull - tyre on refurb is about £40-50 per corner - which is usually good enough for me,

Tyres off dipping/blasting repair & powder coating is about the same but then you normally get charged a fortune for taking the tyres off the rims plus refitting and balancing.

I'd make the call based upon how long you think you'll have the car - I had my badly corroded and battered rays done 3 years ago tyre on and apart from one small blemish they are still perfect.

I'd probably only go for the tyre off if I was thinking of keeping the car for several years.

I can recommend the wheel specialist. I used their Cardiff branch but while I was researching I saw great things about the Manchester branch
