Mike_89 Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 (edited) Has anybody had any experience with this OCC. I came across this when I was browsing the my350Z US-forum. http://www.saikoumichi.com/S1_350Z_OCC.html It seems to provide the needed functionality of an OCC, also the bracket fits to the PS reservoir mounting point. Mike_89 Posted August 8, 2014 Author Posted August 8, 2014 I've order one of these OCCs. I will provide some updates once it arrives Quote
GMballistic Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Looks nice Mike ~ would be good to see how you get on with fitting etc. I bought a Rutlands OCC which is very small but fits nicely on the P/S bracket. Link: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/58175-oil-catch-can-tested-and-proven/ Quote
4RE Leather Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 I am interested as my diy fell off last week and is currently strapped to my intake pipe with plastic tie thingy's Quote
Tricky-Ricky Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 Any can that has two outlets and is or can be sealed will do the job, there is nothing special about them, the Rutland one is just an over priced oil separator for small spraying equipment or similar and can be bought for less than half that price from most spray equipment suppliers. Maybe so but is a darn sight cheaper than a lot of other catch cans you see for sale ~ especially the fake ones which are essentially just an empty aluminium can with hose attachments just welded on. Tricky-Ricky Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 An empty alloy can will still effectively remove a large proportion of oil vapor due to the void causing drop out, although using a baffle or stainless steel scourers will be slightly better. Quote
