Oil leak or normal?

Was inspecting my car earlier and found a small leak from what I think is the sump?

Can any forum experts confirm if this is normal and whether it is the sump or block?

Oil leaks are not normal.

 

However, your leak appears to be from the top of the upper sump and at this moment of time no remedial action is required.

Cool thanks, just wondered if it was a common place for the zed to leak.

Is it a big job to change this gasket? Would be a convenient time for me to do it as I have an oil change coming up

That's an engine out job I'm afraid - you cant take the upper sump off with the engine in as the main cross member is in the way.

Oh no...! That's bad news lol. I think I'll give it a wipe and see what it's like in a few hundred miles. Hope Alex is right and it doesn't need doing!
