interior door vents

Can any one advise as to how to remove the door vent thats on the door card. Does the door card have to come off. The thingy that bridges all the flaps together has popped off and needs to be put back on but can only be done from behind.

I dont want to force the vent housing away from the card just in case I make matters worse.

Door card off, then they are screwed on behind

Not sure if this will help Zeb but it's a good guide for removing the door cards for a speaker install so should be insightful.
