After using a glaze by hand on my Zed before Japfest and not hiding the swirls enough I have just got a Das6 Pro with the meguiars kit (105 and 205) with an orange and white chem guys hex pad.

See how we get on with that :)

Any tips for using the DA for a first timer?

Don't wimp out stick with it and let the polish break down ie make enough passes on one manageable area at a time for the compound to do its thing.

Well I plan on watching many videos to see how it's done before I even pick it up.

What would you call many passes? And a manageable area? (I'm guessing not a whole panel?)

I found it actually takes longer with the DA than it does doing it by hand, the difference is that you can work the polish harder, and get a better result. I thought it would save me time using a DA, but it actually took alot longer, but the results were well worth it
