Fluke Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Can somebody recommend me a gearbox and diff oil for my 2003 350z? Could somebody also explain whyI need to add mollyslip or do the oils recommended come with it? Quote
WhackyWill Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Genuine Nissan from Clark with Molyslip.. ..PM Clark 1 Quote
GMballistic Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 You want the genuine gearbox oil from Nissan and the Molyslip. The latter is supposed to reduce whine/rumble/noise and coats all the moving parts reducing friction and making for smoother gear changes. Fluke Posted April 21, 2014 Author Posted April 21, 2014 How much Molybdenum do I need to add? 30ml tube? Quote
GMballistic Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 How much Molybdenum do I need to add? 30ml tube? Think it's a 65ml tube that Horsham Developments used when they did mine. Imo that & the gearbox oil change did make a difference to my 03. Originally I had found going from 5th gear to 6th gear a little difficult at times but after the change & Molyslip it's all sorted. Best result with Molyslip is from 1st to 2nd as this is a common problem with the DE Zed. Quote

If it's warm though or recently driven it's not a problem. Much better than it used to be before the Molyslip. Quote
Fluke Posted April 21, 2014 Author Posted April 21, 2014 (edited) Do you just squeeze a couple of tubes into the gearbox filler hole? What about the diff? Edited April 21, 2014 by Fluke Quote
350zedd Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Just squeeze one tube of Molyslip into the gearbox with your Nissan MT-XZ gear oil. Just use Nissan Diff Fluid on its own for the diff. Quote
Almeida1234 Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 As above molyslip will do wonder to your gear box along with genuine nissan gear box oil Quote
Jixaman Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 As said, speak to Ewen at Clark Motorsport, he has everything you need... 1 Quote
