Flex Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Anyone know of trustworthy (preferably free or nominal cost) software that will record what I'm doing on my computer screen so I can upload it as a video to YouTube? If that makes sense, basically want to upload some tutorials. Quote
Grundy Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 I think FRAPS do a trial version. Might be worth a shot. 1 Quote
coldel Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 I did something rough and ready at work on my works laptop, had some software called camstudio-recorder (not sure if its windows bundled software?) which just records your screen - I then uploaded it to You Tube no problem. 2 Quote
:RedZed: Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Can the program you want to record run ok inside a virtual machine? The latest version of VirtualBox has a built in recorder which I tried recently and it's excellent and free! The best thing about it is, you can create a blank machine so that during your video you don't have all your app icons and so on all over the desktop. Only downside is, you need a copy of Windows to install on the machine (unless you use a Linux distro instead). Quote
