pioneer avh-x2500bt Microphone

Hi Guys

 

I know some of you are running this HU so have a quick question for you all.

 

Did you have issues with the built in microphone at all?

Had it installed on Friday but when making calls people can't hear me.

 

Any ideas?

Do you still have the bt adaptor in the centre console ? Mine done this where receivers could not hear me as I had two bluetooth receivers basically , took the other out now headunit mic works fine ??

Well I've taken it out but still no joy sadly.

 

Apparently there is nothing at all being picked up by the mic.

 

I presume it is built into the head unit and not an wire that should be fed anywhere?

Just looked in the box left over from the install and turns out the microphone hasn't even been fitted.

Does the car not have a microphone already installed for the OEM Bluetooth that I can wire in?

 

Otherwise it means running the one supplied which could be tricky

You need to use the Pioneer supplied mic

Fitted this HU to my sons Mazda last week
