Squeal noise when going backwards?

Hi all.,

 

I noticed that whilst going backwards only (reverse or just letting it roll back in neutral) my zed has this squeal noise. :/

 

Anyone know what this could possibly be or experienced this before?

Maybe something catching on discs/brakes? Or axle needs greasing?

My guess is brake pads. Have you check them recently? Even when they look ok, if you take the out, they can be crumbled in bits and this can generally cause a squeal, albeit usually when going forwards.

I would say it is more likely coming from the handbrake hubs that might just need a good clean out.

Yes it could be this also. Mare of a time for someone who hasn't got ramps and a big breaker bar to get the rear caliper off before removing the rear discs/hub unit
