I'm currently typing through the tears as my xbox just crapped out 5 minutes into my second forza 2 outing...

The ring round the on switch is flashing red and nothing else i happening. I've tried it with a few other games and the same happens.

Anyone have any ideas?

Well its a Microsoft product, so have you tried the rebooting option? ;)

Sorry, thats not really helping..... but take it you tried completely powering it off (seeing as you can't CTRL, ALT & DEL it)

I has the three lights problem. I had a look on the net and amidst the porn spam and other crap it seems it's a big repair. It's under warranty so I guess I'll send it to the xbox fixers.

I might buy myself a wii to fill the gap while it's away!

BTW, I was going to ask this anywya..... but is Forza good enough in itself to make me buy an X-Box???

I have a PS2 that i've used about twice! so thats brand new sat there gathering dust, but with all you going on about it.... and I've just seen the new TV ad where the 350z gets a starring role....... should I buy one?

And how much can I pick one up for now? :D

It's good. I don't play games console often but like the 360.

Forza is ace. You can get a base one for about 150 quid these days. I don't play online or anything.

Can't really help apart from tell you to leave it off for 30 secs and then restart it.

My mates XBOX has just been sent off for repair too, been about 2-3 weeks and he's still not heard anything.

forza 2 is the dogs danglies mark especially live.

Stew I know someone who can fix them. I'll pm him and see if he will do it . The only thing is that he's based in Nottingham so postage could be a bit

My mate has it so going to have to see it in person!

Does anyone play with that XBOX Forcefeedback wireless steering wheel set up? If i buy one, then gotta play with a steering wheel, its just wrong doing with a pad!

it might be the power supply (the brick)

me mates died on his after 4 months, he did swap JUST the machine first but had the same problem so swapped the brick and it's been ok for months :)

if it's within warranty take it back to the shop you brought it from they should swap it :)

Got a mate with the steering wheel. Forza2 has been made with the steering wheel in mind and all the bumps in the road are accurately fed back.

How many of the quadrants in the circle are red? If all 4 are red then apparently its only The A/V cable is either not properly connected to the Xbox 360 system, or is not being detected.

If its 3 then there is some sort of hardware failure. My cousin had this problem, apparently quite common, he got it repaired but didnt work.

As the others have said, if its 4 lights then its just the AV cable, but 3 lights is known as Ring of Death! If its under warrenty take it back and get it replaced. I've heard of loads of people taking them back to PC World, Currys etc and get a straight replacement.

Need to look into geting my 360 online and playing with everyone, but no gold membership atm :(

Well the xbox will be getting repaired. It has the dreaded 3 lights.

I bought myself a Wii to cheer me up. It's possibly the most fun you can have (a) with your clothes on (B) with no Zed involved.

What a laugh!

I have wii play and sonic.

Wii play is a laugh, sonic is ok.

Bowling is ace. Golf is hard. Baseball is really hard! Tennis is alright too!

Boxing made me sore! My arms were agony the next day!
