can you recommend the best holder for the iphone 4

i keep putting it in the ashtray but it gets in the way when changing gear

also where is the best place to put the holder so i can still use the phone (not the bin)

I bought this November 2011 for my 4s, sticks to anything including the plastic dash (watch the vid as well on the advert) - I am still using it now.

Not the exact seller I bought from but looks identical.

2 plastic plates and a hinge.

Supplied with adhesive for the base and one of those sticky gel pads to "stick/hold" the phone.

 

Had mine for almost a year now and the pad is still sticky.

Never drops the phone as long as I don't use a textured matt like cover.

 

I cut a black piece of cardboard so it was a tight fit in the centre cubby floor.

Stuck the base plate onto the card and jammed it in.

My Galaxy S3 fits in nice in landscape mode with adequate space at the side for my 3.5mm jack to attach and go to my 3.5mm input on the headunit.

Can then play my tunes, use it as satnav, and when a call comes in I can answer with sound coming through the speakers with the phone mic doing all the work.

 

If I had a Bluetooth headunit it would be ideal but the 3.5mm cable doesn't bug me enough to change the headunit. The stand is small enough to hold my S3 in the cubby and allow the cubby door to close with S3 inside.

Just put it in the drivers door handle, that's where mine goes

Just dont glue anything to the actual dashboard like the gold plated plonker who glued an iphone dock to the dash of my VX before I bought it.
