jonathan73 Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Guys, and Zedrush may be of particular help ( ) it's my first anniversary June 2nd and I'll be in the big smoke with my bride and some friends. We're wondering about a decent restuarant. Zedrush has sorted us some guest lists for clubs (thanks big guy), but now we need early evening entertainment ideas. It's a while since I was in London (about 8 yrs) so I've lost any idea of decent place. Please help.... Thanks Quote
polarbear Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 Hmm, depends on your budget and where you plan to go afterwards. Top 5 for me at the moment (in no particular order). 1. Racine - french bistro, small + busy, great food (opp. V&A) 2. Nobu - still fantastic, but of course pricey and murder to get a table (Park Lane) 3. The Orrery - best Conran restaurant and Marleybone Village is good fun (Marleybone High St) 4. Axis or Indigo at One Aldwych - great location, fantastic lobby bar and really central (Aldwych) 5. Tuttons - cheap and cheerful, but food is reliable (Covent Garden) Quote
mugwump Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 4. Axis or Indigo at One Aldwych - great location, fantastic lobby bar and really central (Aldwych) +1 Also, the mint leaf, http://www.mintleafrestaurant.com/ for a cutting edge taste of india on Haymarket (3 mins walk from picadilly circus). Quote
