Samueltastic Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Hey guys, Have just bought one of these to replace the Bose sub http://uk.jbl.com/product-detail-gto/gto1014.html Just wondering what the best type of amp will be to use? For the time being i'm replaceing just the sub but will look at the remaining 4 speakers later. Just dont want to buy something then turn out its wrong and needs changing later, as I'm new the the car audio seen Cheers Quote
rodgeevans Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Budget? Do you want to stick with JBL? when you change the other speakers will you run them from a seperate amp or will you want one amp to run it all? Quote
Samueltastic Posted August 8, 2013 Author Posted August 8, 2013 See that's the thing I,m not sure if i would need a second amp or not. Say my budget would be £150 and see what i get for the money if i have to buy another amp later, that's cool. I'm not fussed on the brand tbh Quote
BulletMagnet Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Is that with or without the cost of making a sub box? Quote
BulletMagnet Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Add a tenner and you could get this JBL 5 channel amp, with enough power to drive your sub you purchased http://caraudiosecurity.com/gto-5355e-5-channel-amp Quote
Samueltastic Posted August 9, 2013 Author Posted August 9, 2013 So will that do the sub and the other speakers when i get round to it? Quote
