twobears Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Had a brilliant morning with Andy McKenna and the lovely Mr Zedders (of course ) at Blyton Park. Unfortunately, the video didn't work but Tony managed to take lots of photos. 1 Quote
twobears Posted July 11, 2013 Author Posted July 11, 2013 Ha ha, I'm having loads of fun Tony is a bit alarmed that I seem to have acquired two expensive hobbies now (got a horse as well) Quote
Will370z Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 We were there on Sunday - great way to spend a day and it's a fun little circuit. Nice looking subaru hit the armco though and ripped the side to pieces Glad you had fun, you are really getting into the track days now Quote
twobears Posted July 11, 2013 Author Posted July 11, 2013 Pity you weren't there today too Will! I am really enjoying myself this summer Someone that I know who races BMWs told me last week the that Blyton track had a really tight bend but I didn't find it so maybe I was doing it all wrong? Quote
brillomaster Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 yeah was a good little track, how did you find a zed round there! i thought it was a bit of a handful in our beemer to be honest, quite tight with interesting corners! Quote
Ken Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Good to meet up on Sunday (Will , Andy) and your BMW performed very well. Great to see you having fun on track with the zed Annie. Don't get the mod bug Annie or Tony will get alarmed Quote
brillomaster Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 PS this is what we looked a few days before you! Quote
twobears Posted July 11, 2013 Author Posted July 11, 2013 Good pic brillomaster It was a tight circuit and for some reason I kept thinking that the gentle right left bends after Bunga Bunga were actually that steep right hander back towards the pit lane Once I'd got that sorted out in my head I was able to increase my lap times. The instructor said that I "Wasn't lacking in the bottle department" which made me smile as I didn't think he'd noticed the bottle of vodka stowed behind my seat for extra confidence Seriously though, I am really enjoying learning how to drive a bit better and goodness knows there's plenty of room for improvement Ken I already have a teeny bit of discreet modification, a bit like a tattoo that no-one ever sees unless they are very friendly with you I do covet glrnet's blue lights mind you Quote
ATTAK Z Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 I was there last Sunday for a quick look then I peeled off to get a Knickerbocker Glory in the village lol 1 Quote
