Motorcycle covers

My lad wants a weatherproof cover for his R6. He reckons you can get one which zips up around the bike. I can't find anything like this online. Can anyone recommend one? The bike will be stored at a friends farm over winter but as we don't have a garage it will have to be covered in the drive during summer so it needs to be a good one.

Well actually, he's got his full bike test this afternoon so it only really applies if he passes it! I did have a 'word' about his bike and he said no problem Mum I'll have a restrictor put on it. Do I think he will? Yeah right!

Or http://www.infinitymotorcycles.com/ are always helpful to me. See what they have and get it of eBay cheaper!

Oxford ones looked ok to me when I was looking for one. I ended up covering my R6 with a dustsheet as its in the garage anyway, just keeps it away from prying eyes. I guess you want to make sure its a fleece lined one or at least lined with something as you dont want to scratch his baby

This should do it: http://www.infinitymotorcycles.com/prod ... ium%20size)

is there such a thing as a drive on and zip up one then?

I'm sure there is but I've not seen it. The ones I've see you put over the top and they have bungees underneath or a proper cable thats lockable, that pulls in under the belly of the beast but leaves the tyres exposed. Not see on that truely encases the bike completely (ie drive over the top of it, then zip it over the top of the bike).

Bah, you're about 2 weeks late - I just threw away a "bike barn" (http://www.thebikebarn.net/) when clearing out the shed of the house we're selling...but I'm not sure if it's really that suitable for a driveway anyway...

Have you taken a peek at Hein Gericke?

There is one next door to me, Nixy you want me to ask them what bike cover they do and for what price and take pictures of them for you?

yep, they had the usual stuff but nothing with a zip. That other link is interesting - the barn one - never seen one like that before! Looks a bit cumbersome though but a good idea.

Really? Strange...you didn't see this one? http://www.hein-gericke.com/uk/product_info.php/products_id/1710...unless I'm missing something...

As the the bike barn - yeah, great peice of kit, and geat piece of mind and convenience when you're tucking up the bike after a ride, and it's raining/snowing etc...but like I said, maybe not so great on the driveway (I previously had my bike tucked away in the back garden).
