Fluke Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 I installed an Appradio 2 in my 350z and despite trying various aerials I can't seem to get a decent signal. I am beginning to wonder if the original Bose provide any sort of boost to the aerial? Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong? Quote
MidnightRacer Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 I know the 350 has a powered amplifier for the aerial. I have a similar problem but havent yet taken the radio out to check if i have the wire connected or not! Quote

I can't see where I've missed a connection either, I wonder if the Bose unit has its own? Quote
Fluke Posted June 9, 2013 Author Posted June 9, 2013 Looks like I may have found a solution to my problem. http://my350z.com/forum/audio-and-video/128070-antenna-amp-wire.html I'm at work this morning, so can't check to see if the wire is connected. Quote
Fluke Posted June 9, 2013 Author Posted June 9, 2013 Moved from 370 sub forum Thanks mate. I didn't even notice it was in the wrong place. Quote
Fluke Posted June 10, 2013 Author Posted June 10, 2013 Just in case anyone else has this problem, here is a photo of the wire that powers the antenna. Once I connected this up to a 12v power source (I spliced it into the blue an white wire that turns the amplifier on), my signal massively improved and I can now get every station I want. Quote
Clown Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 I see pictures but I still don't understand. I need someone cleverer than me to help me with this Don't even know how to take out the head unit! Quote
