Argyll Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 Hi I'm a bit of a noob to the site and I have a few questions to ask. 1. Is there anywhere I can download a workshop manual? 2. I had some registration plates made but they are not a good fit at the rear (import 350z). Is there anywhere in the scotland area that I can get these made up properly without having to saw off the sides? 3. My car's an import. I have the service book but its in Japanese and kilometers. Can I get a replacement in English from Nissan? 4. What does JDM and OEM mean? Thanks for any replies Quote

Is there anywhere I can download a workshop manual? http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2945 2. I had some registration plates made but they are not a good fit at the rear (import 350z). Is there anywhere in the scotland area that I can get these made up properly without having to saw off the sides? Ask to have motorcycle (square type) plates made... any HAlfrauds etc will be able to do them... 3. My car's an import. I have the service book but its in Japanese and kilometers. Can I get a replacement in English from Nissan? Yes... can be ordered, but they will not transfer the details from the japan book to the new one.. 4. What does JDM and OEM mean? Japan Domestic Market (made in Japan, for Japan) Original Equipment Manufacturer (means nissan, honda, vw etc...) OEM parts are parts from Nissan dealers , not third party copies etc... Thanks for any replies hope this helps... Quote

You can select the most suitable size of plate from the range of choices. Quote
Argyll Posted September 10, 2007 Author Posted September 10, 2007 Thanks for your help guys:) Thanks mate. Do you know if they can make plates to the exact profile of the where the plate fits? What i mean is would they make a plate that would be wider at the top than it would be at the bottom? I know you can buy them square but I would like a perfect fit if possible. I know I could buy a larger plate and saw an angle at the side but it looks quite cheap when it's hand cut. Quote
lomoto Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 bump anyone I Tried to get a plate made to the exact shape of the cutout, but to no avail ended up with this as best second option Quote
nixy Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 mine are no way a perfect fit - even less so now I've recently had to change them again - just live with it I suppose for now......... Quote

Welcome http://www.createmyplates.com A few of us bought from here as they do "Z" logo plates (might be able to see them in my sig) Believe they do all sizes, including custom. Quote
