New battery, alarm won't stop going off....help!

Hi,

 

I have just put a new battery on my car and although it fires up just fine the alarm won't stop going off.....i'm sure it must be me not doing something silly but I'm buggered if I know what, can anyone offer any advice??

Well, according to the hand book it goes off 8 times and then stops.....that was it really.

Do you have a UK or JDM 350z, as this hasn't happened on any UK car we've swapped a battery on...

Sorry OP but had to laugh, well done for reading the book eh. Changed mine recently, thankfully this didn't happen or I'd have been posting along your lines. OEM so maybe it is a JDM related issue.

Mine's a UK car.....the car hasn't moved an inch in some time and the battery died a while back, i hooked the new one up and all appeared well then the alarm went bat s**t crazy, all is now fine so i'll be trying to get it booked for an MOT in the morning, get it insured and taxed and away i go.
