14N Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Hi All, I'm looking to do a brake fluid flush and replace with new. How much brake fluid should I buy to allow me enough to do the job? Cheers, Ian Quote
glrnet Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Don't know mate but do some research first as to how best proceed, there have been some horror stories on here of not being able to get air out of the system. I would ask Zmanale, CS, Kaiser Motors, Abbey and Keyser to start with and have a search to see if you can find others with first hand experience. I had all 4 Brembos changed last year by TGM at Fleet in Hants and they were suprised how much it took to get the air out and that was two of them carrying it out with the car up on the lift. Personally I wouldn't try it alone. Quote
Paddy78 Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 When I had mine done I supplied 3 bottles which was enough (Although I also had my clutch slave cylinder done). I might be making this up, but I think you need 1.4L for a full bleed? I am probably wrong though! Quote
Paddy78 Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 I would ask Zmanale Is he Alex's beer making cousin? 1 Quote
ZMANALEX Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 2 x 500ml will be plenty providing you do not let the master cyl. reservoir run dry. Plenty fluid in stock if required. Alex. Quote
