255/35/18 on 18" RAYS?

Just stumbled on a set of 4x255/35/18 wondering if they'd be "ok" on a set of RAYS for some trackwork?

I'm sure they would. I run 225/40/18 and 245/40/18 with no problems. I used to run 235/40/18 front and 245/45/18 on the back with no problems.

Why do you need an extra 10mm width lol?

 

If your gonna do it, do it right and go for an 18" x 9.5 rear and go for 275's

I think so. I have never got these so called TCS issues personally even though everyone promised I would. Maybe its different on JDM's?

not worried about TCS, worried the tyre will buckle over the front rim

Sorry just reread your OP and your saying about putting 255's on the front aswell. I'm not too sure TBH. I know you can go to 245 fine.

Maybe ask your tyre fitter just to be safe? I knew they would be fine on the back.

You would have to corner fast to get the tyre to "buckle over the front rim" so you will be fine

and if they have tread they are better than what you have at the mo

Apparently you should be clinically dead as technically that is impossible and blasphemous.

 

It's just because usually people tell you something won't work without trying. As said I run 40 profiles which have a greater range of tires do I can get f1's and they are a lot cheaper as its a more common size and your car looks better because it doesn't have balloon tyres and the car rides lower, turns in better and squirms less but no one will try it as they have heard it affects the TCS

I know lol I run the same sizes on my mv1's on my e46.

 

Just keep reading the forum you will soon see that information can be passed on as gospel when its not even been tried or tested.

Haha they were off my mv1's on my e46 too lol. 4x matching Goodyear eagles with less than 40 miles before going on the zed
