RS TUNING ARE THEY WORTH IT?

That attitude you're coming across with on here is what's got me thinking your attitude in the garage may have contributed to the way you were treated

I think that's uncalled for TBH, you dont know the guy plus he is annoyed rightly so. Plus if they where do it for free they can be as moody as they want but if you work with the public and they pay money grumpy, selfish, angry customers whatever you have to deal with them and smile. He isnt doing the OP a favour the OP is paying money to have it done. If Paul didnt want to do as he didnt like him or whatever he should of told the OP on your bike IMO.

Anyway I can see why your annoyed. You took time out of your week to see a trader and part with alot of cash. They didnt treat you very nicely which isnt very nice. They also fit your exhaust wrong and then when you told them it was wrong they just shrugged and thought nothing of it. I understand that I think most people are missing that out.

I would still personally phone them up not even looking for anything but say look this is what you did, this is what you cost me in time, effort, hassle and money. You worked on my car to an unstatisfactory level and when I mentioned it you dismissed me. Do you want to fix it by giving me money back etc etc or he might just say pee off. You never know until phone.

If you don't want to hear people's opinions, perhaps it's best if you don't post stuff on the Internet?

I have read the post thanks, and at no point have you actually said that you contacted RS after you had the problems with the exhaust fitting sorted by another mechanic. If you don't tell him where he was wrong, what do you expect him to do about it? If nothing else you can rant at the person who's fault it actually was rather than taking your venom out here.

If you wanted more runs on the dyno, why did you not say so at the time?

I am not taking my venom out on the forum just telling it like it is, paul is the owner of rs he was happy with the reply that mark gave him also he is the expert is he not, who am I to tell him his job not knowing anything about it myself. You have strong opinions on certain things and have a right to express them so have I, you were not there on the day I was, to take my car back to leeds would have cost me another £200 for missed work per day also screwed up work for my guys. Would he refund my loss of earnings I don't think so.

How do you know what they would do without reporting it to them?? zzzzzzzzzzzzz

He did. He told the owner and he just dismissed him. I dont see how a saying it in person is different to a phone call but I could be wrong.

Last paragraph

Nobody monds a moaner and if someone has a bad experience then people need to know, but even if you were to go to trading standards or cab the first thing they would say is have you spoken to the trader, did you give then thechance to put things right... That was my point and I'm sure Neil's too

Wow, not posted on here for a while but interested to hear about RS being a northern lad. To be honest I think the majority of comments from members here have been harsh on the OP! We live in a digital world and all organisations need to understand that poor service will be discussed online especially in community forums such as this! Specialist traders should understand this and help them deliver a better service and ultimately grow the business. There are enough traders around who will go out of their way to make their customers happy.

I think that doing the job right first time is the most important thing. If its a genuine mistake or something like that, then you would expect them to put it right. Yes its restores some credibility if you make something right second time round ,but shoudnt the job be right first time? If a guy was working on a plane, made a mistake and the plane ended up coming down and killing loads of people,do you think its acceptable that he be given another chance to put it right? I know thats an extreme case, but still the same point.

Maybe the OP is or isnt right by posting his experience on here in the fashion he has without talking to RS again, but at the end of the day,the job should have been right first time. If the exhaust was an issue, then it should have been investigated and rectification offered. Its only metal after all,so can be bent or cut or welded without much hassle.
