nafsten Posted September 26, 2012 Share Posted September 26, 2012 Hello there! (first post) I've had my 350z for a month now (having had to give up my trusty V6 Golf). I'm not due for a service or anything yet, but I thought I'd ask if anyone has any garage recommendations in Bristol? We're new to the area and don't know who to ask! There are some posts from a while ago recommending somewhere in Weston-super-mare, but I don't know if this info is still current? They're a trader here on the forum and have done work on my car and a number of Bristol members. They specialise in Impreza's and Evo's and are very well respected in terms of their experience and knowledge with those cars. They've really dived in in to Zed's in the last few years and certainly treated my car with care and done some good work. If you want Nissan servicing and care I tend to take my car to Platinum Nissan in Box who have always been as good as gold. They've serviced my car regularly. Have always been willing to have a nose at it if I've turned up with a 'noise' or a 'rattle'. Quite a few times they've looked at things for me, given a recommendation after spending an hour or so looking at stuff and not charged me, good guys, helpful and polite. I asked when we bought the Z if they could service it and was informed they could and they already look a couple of other Z's. I've also had one for a couple of months, and have just booked my first service (a P3). From memory the quotes I got locally were: Wessex Nissan in Bristol - £460 (ouch!) Howards Nissan in WSM - £320 Platinum Nissan in Box - £405 Given that it's just a service I went with the cheapest option, plus it was a good excuse for a drive down to Weston! I've heard from a mechanic friend that FCM Motorsport has a good reputation, will probably go there if I needed any work doing.
