Jolly F Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Hello, I'm a member of the SXOC. I got hold of a set of brandnew and unused front and rear brakes for the 350Z (cailpers, disks and pads). I am now going for something else and wondered if they would be of interest to anyone here? I know the standard madel 350Z dosen't have these and would be a great upgrade, i also know if you got them from nissan your looking at near £4000. If of interest please let me know... Regards Justin Quote
redzed Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 All Uk models are fitted with Brembos it`s just lower spec imports that aren`t Quote
Chesterfield Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 True, the UK models all come with the Brembos fitted as standard. However if anyone has imported a model without these, then they could be right up their street! Welcome to the forum by the way - LOL Quote
Jolly F Posted February 2, 2006 Author Posted February 2, 2006 Thanks for the info guys. Sorry i'm here on my first post to sell something... I know 350Z wheels and brakes are always looked for on the SXOC but most on there have a tighter budget. I will be looking at getting a 350Z one of these as a daily drive as i love them. My S14a is a 400bhp track car thats noisy, bumpy and thirsty. £50 = 200 miles...not good for business use... Anyway, not sure how many imports are in the uk but worth a shot. Quote
Chesterfield Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 No problem with your first post being a sales pitch, as long as it is clearly something that the Z community may have a requirement for. Which these obviously are. I am sure you will be able to pick up a Z for the right money when the time is right. Though you dont need to be an owner to be a regular here, we accept fans too! Welcome aboard.. Quote
eddmac Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 You haven't said how much you want for them....... Quote
JDM Performance Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 I've got an import with the 'cheap' brakes - was thinking of upgrading... Also, anyone got a guess how much the calipers would be worth used? I can get quite a few from Japan 2nd hand but would get them to order but allllll depends on how much they're worth here? Jolly F Posted February 3, 2006 Author Posted February 3, 2006 I was looking around £1500 but i am open to offers. Feel free to comment... Nicely of course... Quote
Jolly F Posted February 4, 2006 Author Posted February 4, 2006 Would £1300 be more of an interest to someone, thats surely a very good price for what you get... Quote
Jolly F Posted February 9, 2006 Author Posted February 9, 2006 After having a look at these last night, one of the rears has a few chips, one quite noticable. If i was to keep them i would get it touched up. Incase anyone was thinking of having these i want to be as honest as posible. Must have got knocked in transit. Picture shows the main chip... Quote
Josh350z Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 JollyF I may be interseted in these. Could someone give me an approx. price I might have for getting these fitted? Depending on total price (Brakes + Fitting) I may be interested. Cheers Josh Quote
Jolly F Posted February 9, 2006 Author Posted February 9, 2006 I would doubt very much if it would take more than 2 hours to fit the brakes, depending on where you go, £35 - £40 an hour... Quote
Jolly F Posted February 14, 2006 Author Posted February 14, 2006 Unfortunately the rears have gone, leaving me with a set of fronts. If this is of interest to someone please let me know. They would still be a good upgrade for imports... Quote
Guest prescience Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 There are a whole host of threads on my350Z showing how to upgrade brakes to Brembos Quote
bigstej Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 I have an import with standard brake. How much for the pair? Not sure its a good idea just to fit front Brembos only though?? Quote
Jolly F Posted February 16, 2006 Author Posted February 16, 2006 £750 for the pair (fronts), it would be a good improvement although not ideal for car balance on track driving. Members on here would have a better idea... Quote
