I want to know what mods to get on a VQ35HR. I want filters, belts and a better clutch set up to start. On the clutch kit. I would like a better clutch kit for spirited and probable track driving. Have seen one on e-bay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Competition-Clu ... 64&vxp=mtr

and

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ACT-PERFORMANCE ... d5&vxp=mtr (all though this one is street only I think :)

I have seen alot of ACT clutches too, and I have also read alot on exeedy on here .. Do you Ladies and Gents have any experience of the brands, 1. competition clutch, 2. ACT ( I think) or 3. exceedy? I do not.. Which ones are the better quality  , any to avoid  and also any traders where best to part with £?

Standard clutch is perfectly good until it dies TBH, youd be better of spending money on suspension. :)

I have covered nearly 50k and the clutch is starting to smell when I drive spirited.. out of good care I want to do the clutch, so whilst in there want to get a full new kit and I am not confident taking the clutch as it is on track..

The suspension is a belting idea for track though, so thank you..

I would really like to know  if anyone has used

1. ACT

2. Competition clutches

3. Exceedy

and what people would suggest :)

Performance panel filters, HFC'S, UpRev remap, full SuperPro polly bushes all round, coilovers, better tyres, uprated discs/pads, braided clutch and brake lines.

That's just off the top of my head.

Excellent, I have the list in print.:thumbs: I am just getting clutch done 1st :) Panel filters at same time. I have good brakes on the car. Will upgrade to braided lines next year (when I can afford it)..

Braided lines are pocket money in comparison to the rest of your mods.

I'd invest in those along with Motul RBF 600 or 660.

I cooked my brakes on the Nurburgring due to having insufficient oem brake lines and fluid.

+1 ish, maybe a better y-pipe in their before uprev (maybe motordyne ART+XYZ if you're spunking cash). If I was you I'd figure out your budget and contact Abbey MS, RS Tuning and Zmanalex. The first 2 have amazing knowledge to sort out anything you want to do, but Alex will probably have parts cheaper than your local pound shop! Alex also has a track Z most people would dream of, although I bet he'd love Abbey's drag engine!
