Dblock Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 So I have been installing pulleys. I've had to move the ac radiator out of the way a few times. I was under the car and I didnt even touch anything and I heard a hissing. Seemed to be coming from my radiator sort of bit. Just as I put my ear near it starting peeing out green stuff! So here are the pics. So basically. Is that A/C refridgerant? Do I need a big radiator thing and pipes or can a garage cut that big off and repair the pipe? All advice appricated Quote
Zugara Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 A garage should be able to cut that piece out and braze a new piece in, refrigerant gas is only a liquid inder compression or pressure, so I would suspect that that's not what you think it is. Refrigerant just dissipates into the atmosphere once released. Quote

When it came out it was "fizzy" Quote
Zugara Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Not unless it's the new style gas/liquid the use now days. We do fridge dryers at my place and the gas is a clear liquid, minds boggle. Quote
Leeroy Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Is it the stuff the AC guys put in to check for leaks? Maybe it sits in the system until an unsuspecting ear approaches Quote
Dblock Posted June 13, 2012 Author Posted June 13, 2012 Im 99% sure that pipe is linked to the AC. It could be? I'l give my garage a ring in the morning if I can have everything back together by then...sigh Quote
