Just how big are those tanks? :D

Can't find any reference to their capacity in the manual, but they've just sucked up 5 litres, and I don't reckon they're full :scare:

Halfords are doing a very nice smelling 3 for 2 offer BTW :)

Ahh, that explains it!! When my car was in for a service a couple of weeks ago, they said that they had put 5 litres of screenwash in it even though I had put 5 litres in the day before!! :scare:

10 litres in total

Really?

So I may as well add the other 5L bottle then really... Surely that ones of the largest tanks(s) around..?

That's quite a bit of weight as well :)

I'm quite sure I read the 10L capacity somewhere, and yes another 10kg weight :)

The weight's not so much of a problem if you have forged wheels though....... ;)

I am sure there is a legislation requiring cars fitted with gas-discharge

1. If the reservoir tank is below a certain capacity, to provide a warning light. (VW passat has a warning light...)

2. or to simply fit a windscreen/headlamp reservoir tank with a greater capacity ( i thought it was around 12 litres minimum... )

But i will check this, I am sure it is in some VCA or VOSA regulation or European directive... In the case of the ZED i think there is enough space just to fit a huge tank therefoe no need to more lights in the speedometer...

absolutely! the extra 10kg from a full windcreen reservoir are easily offset by a 12kg saving on unsprung weight (multiply by 3 to have equivalent of saving on sprung weight) B)

Hmmm, I ran mine dry - with no warning lights coming on at all :surrender:

will there be legislation soon from the EU for humans to be fitted with warning lights when our bladders require emptying, GOD how did we manage to drive without all these driver aids ??

don't worry there is a whole team of important peoplein a dark office in the dungeons of the EU headquarters, already designing all the stickers to go in the car to explain all the requirements... :p

I really dont want a warning light for every bleeding thing. Is more to go wrong, the sensors cost a fortune and it only takes a couple of minutes to check your fluid level when you wash your car.

That uses a thing common sense... :p

I think you'll find legal organisations don't like to let you to use common sense, as it reduces their roles...don't think... it scares themmm...
