the first series was brilliant because it sets up all the circumstances etc. It's great when he 'thinks up' new ideas like last weeks stinger.

I actually only watched this for the first time last night - two episodes back to back, its quite good. I think Ill see if there are DVDs out I can rent to watch it from the start.

You should stop watching this series then and start from the beginning! It does have a slight continuing story running through it so would be better that way

Reminds me of when I was a kid and used to watch the Sweeney and stuff like that. The first cars I ever really thought I'd like were the capri's out of the professionals!

You were only cool in a capri if you actually owned one at the same time as Bodie and Doyle - or if you have a collectors item now - if you had one in the early 90's you were a boy racer corsa equivalent. :D

I was going to agree with you until I realised that I would rather forget most of them because they were so awful. :scare:

I do wish I had a picture of my first car though - it was a 1954 Morris Minor with split windscreen and pop-up indicators. I bought it for £10 with a seized engine, bought a traveller that was rotting away but had a sound engine and swapped them over. Total cost = £25 and sold it 2 years later for £40. :D

Then I had a Mini - a real one, not that BMW thing they sell now.

After that things went downhill - Mk 1 Escort (I will never own another Ford), Morris Marinas etc...
