Anybody going there? I saw it advertised in today's press, but I have no idea what it is like, having never been. Is it worth a look?

been up a few times, never took any of my cars up the strip yet, can be quite a good day if the weather holds out, usually quite busy if it is a magazine day

I used to be a regular 'back in the day...' it was when loads of my car nut mates went down. Used to be a laugh but that was a lot to do with the company.

 

Haven't been down for a few years so no idea what it's like these days.

Just had the new headunit put in the car. But have not had time to transfer the other mods over.

Thought I meet try it but something's come up and I can't make it now.

 

I would be keen to find out what it's like for future reference though - any info would be most welcome.

 

For example, is it really only for young tearaways, or is there room for an old fart with a Z?

Not at all. You will see plenty of Skyline's Supra's Rx7's Evo's Scooby's possibly some Porker's TVR's etc as well as the saxo and civics.

 

Its good on most days but the 1/4 mile is too busy on Magzine days.

 

Plus a lot of the guys with big power cars are older as they can afford to do it.

 

You will get some neds too but its not that bad.

The neds are quite funny! You get plenty of tem but it was very friendly when I used to go down (in my Saxo.... ) but most of the attendees took an interest in eveything there.

 

Some good trade stands too. Magazine days were crazy! The simple strip days were beter if running but the busier days were better for the half clad eye candy nd the wheeled up variety!
