ThyJones Posted October 20, 2011 Share Posted October 20, 2011 Hi there, This issue: Nearside front suspension arm rubber bush deteriorated but not resulting in excessive movement. Does anyone have a picture of the part this fits to? I know what the rubber bush looks like (and im going to order one from Alex) and i know people say its not a DIY job as it needs pressing, so i'm just wondering if I can take the part of(that the rubber fits to) and take it somewhere for them to press it in for me? If not, any idea where i can find a guide? As the arm is fine and its just the rubber bush, cheers alex My instructions that come with the bush are only for the removal and fitting of the bush. The compression arm is easy to remove. All you have to do is remove the the small brace section which is below the failed bush, remove the nut from the rear of the compression arm (at the bush) and remove the nut off the ball joint end of the compression arm. I'd recommend the SuperPros, they give a better feel to the car. We can fit any product we sell, as well and send same day mail order. We can also do laser wheel alignment, which is essential after taking suspension components apart. Mack Posted February 2, 2012 Share Posted February 2, 2012 I'm trying to remove the compression rod but it's stuck fast. I've removed the brace, all the required bolts and separated the ball joint but can't get the bush to separate from the car. I've tried soaking it in wd40 and shocking it with a mallet.
