  5. Hi there. I have a clutch from a while ago that i'm trying to find the details from. On the clutch it states the following codes and information Nissan 30100 CD021 070803A 0558 T/M 68405 I've scoured the net but cannot find anything. Anyone have any ideas please? I see similar clutches with codes such as 30100 *** or CD021 ** but not the exact match. Thanks for the help
  6. Hi there. I've put my car up for sale, on both autotrader and pistonheads: http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/3398513.htm Am not having that much luck as of yet with genuine interested parties. Is this the price, or the time of the year, or both? Suggestions please. Thanks for the advice
  7. Bumping up an old thread, because now i'm pretty much ready to sell. I've just had it MOT'd, so now has 12 months MOT, Tax til end of Dec, am I still looking for the same kind of price? Has there been much fluctuation in the prices that anyones seen? Thanks for all the help as normal
  8. Ahh ok,saw that pic before but wasnt sure, do your instructions explain how to remove the arm too? If not, any idea where i can find a guide? As the arm is fine and its just the rubber bush, cheers alex
  9. Hi there, This issue: Nearside front suspension arm rubber bush deteriorated but not resulting in excessive movement. Does anyone have a picture of the part this fits to? I know what the rubber bush looks like (and im going to order one from Alex) and i know people say its not a DIY job as it needs pressing, so i'm just wondering if I can take the part of(that the rubber fits to) and take it somewhere for them to press it in for me? And was also wondering if I can get under the car and have a look at the bush so I can see for myself? Thanks for the help
  10. I fitted my new brembo's last night, and after cleaning the yellow stuff pads, cleaning the pistons and following the bed-in procedure again and I've got to say, theyre awesome again now ) Well happy. Thanks for the advice and thanks to ZMALEX for sourcing me the parts quickly etc. So atleast I know it was definately the old discs causing the problem.
  11. Its gutting really how much the market has dropped..
  12. Hi there. Just after some opinions of what my car could potentially be worth if I was to put it up for sale Its a 54 plate Blade Silver 350Z GT, with Rays. Its done about 60,500 miles and is in excellent condition.. It has a full nissan service history, has approx 6 months MOT/Tax. I bought this just over a year ago for about £13k. I know the market has dropped a fair bit, but just wondering. Any ideas? Cheers
  13. I have already told you this I know, i'd asked this thread before i thought of asking you if you sold it..
  14. Hi there, sorry i know this is likely to be one of those threads done every few days, but i've done a search, but i think the search ommits "oil" so im struggling to find a definitive answer. Can anyone recommend the popular choice of engine oil for the zeds? Thanks
  15. the fluid was ok after id done a few pumps of the brake pedal, just below max. I assume the 30mm/28mm is the same for front and back? And nope, didnt take a pic of the discs unfortunately - it didnt vibrate before, but then again, the pads had sort of followed the contours of the discs. I don't think there is any escaping the fact I need new discs really. Cheers for the info!!
  16. Just a quick Q in relation to you replacing the pads, where they REALLY worn down? Did you clean the caliper pistons before slotting in the new pads and pushing the pistons further in the caliper? Did you check that all the pistons move freely? Having cleaned a good few bike pistons of calipers in the past, they more then likely will need to be cleaned properly since most often they don't move the same. For instance one piston might apply on the brake pad first... I wish i'd taken a picture of them now, the pads weren't actually that uneven from memory. The discs had quite a few mm of ridges at the top, and the bottom, which i grinded out. I did clean the pistons outer, and i cant be 100% sure now if i did this before or after i'd pushed them back in. Is it worth doing the same again? Is there anything specific I should use to clean them, and is it just a case of pushing one or two in, cleaning, and repeat? Finally, what is the legal (MOT requirement) for disc thickness, any ideas? Thanks again
  17. Ive measured my discs, and they are approx 27mm(so thats below the wear size correct)? So i know I probably need new discs, but what has caused the juddering, is it the fact that ive got new pads (yellow stuff) and old discs, or the fact that the discs had some sligh ridges (which I tried to get rid of, and now actually feel pretty smooth) or could it be down to the fact that I didnt bed in properly(not sure how I couldnt, i followed that green guide).. Anyway, best get some fundage sorted. Thanks for the advice so far
  18. Sometimes judder is caused by pad deposits, if you weren't getting judder before then this may be it - you can sometimes sand this off apparently but I've never experienced it. EBC yellows come with some kind of "bed in" stuff painted on - it could be this causing your judder. New thickness of OE brembo fit discs is 30mm, wear limit is 28mm. Get a caliper and measure them up, also watch out for concentric grooves and concave face that may go a bit deeper. Thanks for the info, now ignore the fact im not sure of the terminology, but if you view a disc from the side, it kind of looks like: || || should each || be 30mm(wear 28mm) or is it || + || = 30mm/28? Thanks
  19. how much are the oem brembo's out of interest? Just going to do some reading up on the DBA's, but they do seem the most popular choice.
  20. how much are the front DBA's anyway? Anyone got a part number for them? Thanks
  21. thanks for the info can't find much about those discs, anyone here care to comment, anyone tried them? Thanks
  22. I stock Genuine OEM Nissan Rotors, however thay are more expensive than DBA which I also stock. Like I told you before, you will have issues with EBC stuff. Looks like my words have came true. Alex How much are the Genuine OEM nissan rotors then, and how much are the DBA's? As for the EBC stuff, after reading loads of posts on a few forums etc, its mixed reviews, and there was no definitive review of them, good or bad. I dont get why theyre so bad?
  23. How do the OEM discs differ from these: http://www.brakes4u.co.uk/itemdetail.asp?catID=15963 ? The ebc ones? I cant actually find a link to OEM ones, can these only be purchased from nissan, or are these ebc ones refered to as oem ones(as a few threads have lead me to beleive?) Also, say if my front discs are nackered, how long is it likely to be before i cause problems with my new yellow stuff pads? Is it worth not driving until i put the new discs on? Thanks for the info
  24. Im not sure how many mm they were, whats the minimum per side of the vent? As for resurfacing, would that just be with a grinder or?
  25. Yeah, followed the guide, but i think its def the discs :s
