how many hours does it take to change the starter

I am just about to get a starter motor for the z from zmanalex and have had wildy different quotes from garages regarding how many hours this should take to fit.

 

Can anyone tell me the expected amount of hours.

1 hr is plenty to swop out a starter motor on a N/A 350 Zed

Mines a aps twin turbo, does it make any difference to the time taken?

That will depend how close the turbo pipes are to the starter motor.

The pipes may restrict the removal of the starter motor.

You will have to get underneath and have a look.

I can now remove and refit my starter motor on my Zed well within 1 hour and I have a TT set up.

Plus Alex "Super-Z" Man is strong enough to hold it up with a spare hand anyway...

Still, fair play and its an excellent idea. I wish id built something similar in my old shed - Just need a pallet of breeze blocks and a few old sleepers. I love the way those trolley jacks look shinier than the actual car!
