games have even been dumped some are only 7gig so the blu-ray disc's (25-50 gig) are really being pushed to the limit

but still it's opened the flood gates for them, after all the normal xbox can be hacked/softmodded using a linux based hack, sony may have made a big mistake

I wouldn't really call any of what has happened so far 'hacking' I am sure that those at Sony will know exactly what is capable and I am sure there is much more which will be discovered in due time.

 

Hack linux to access the graphics SPE and then I will be impressed. Hopefully soon people get it working with video deocoder for full HD and then it will almost be the perfect HTPC.

 

Another hack I am sure it will not be long before we see it is being able to use a XBox HD-DVD drive on the PS3.

true i suppose but with sony letting them through the front door so to speak it'll only be a short while before everything will be accessable, sure sony will patch the software and/or games but there's more linux coders than sony coders,so the circle will continue
