Fairlady Z badge on boot - removal?

Can anyone tell me, please - how does the Fairlady Z label on the left on the rear boot lid come off? Is it just glue, or are there pins or screws I have to get to the inside and undo?

 

If I get it off - are there any holes to fill or will the boot just polish up?

its stuck on using double sided tape .

no holes but may leave a bit of a ghost image where the paint around the badge has faded with exposure; this is difficult to polish out sometimes

Personally the knfe thing scares the hell out of me.

 

I would recommend some fishing line or dental floss and a hairdryer, then again i drive a roadster so always have one handy.

 

Dont get the hot air too close though, it can damage the paint. Iy may take 15 to 20 minutes to soften the glue.

+1 patience and steer clear of a knife near your paintwork gets my vote all day long.
