Just had a hairy moment !!!

Just got in from work and how I have not stuck the car into a kerb is beyond me.Black ice everywhere on my way home,took a turning at traffic lights and car carried straight on just missing the kerb.

 

Gritters not been out,thought the snow was bad but at least you can see the stuff.

 

Be careful out there.

Didn't your trip computer tell you it was icy?? Mine was telling me my garage was icy the other day when I turned the car on for a little while to charge up the battery!

All that tells you is the temp not the conditions of the road.Apparently it rained then froze through the night.Over 40 cars crashed on the east lancs road this morn.

you were very lucky, unfortunatly for me a nice member of the public (not) slide into my parked van and wrote the door off and drove off leaving me with a £400 bill

I got caught on a slip road earlier 50mph sideways, full lock in my little mazda, certainly took the chill out of the air

Similar experience as Darren on a sliproad the other night in the Z, mild acceleration in 2nd onto A1, back end decided it wanted to come say Hi to the front, caught it but woke me up put it that way!
