Anybody smelling Clutch...?! ;)

Hi Guys

New to the forum so Hi to y'all who love a bit of meat under your feet...loving the V6.

My piece is running at about 26k and has been into the dealer for the usual problems I've seen noted - rear axles, CD skipping, Amp failing during hard accelerating / braking, driverside window staying down etc etc..

Dealer has also mentioned that the clutch is getting worn - what milage are the clutches going on average for these machines?

Finally - can anyone recommend any specialists ( non-dealer) either in Berkshire or Bham that can do both tuning and replacing parts like clutch for less than 70 p/h..?

Comments most seriously welcome..!

:welcome: mate, mines got bout 25k on now and no noticeable feel/smell of the clutching starting to go. I have heard stories of some lasting well less than 30k or even 20k, by all accounts the clutch isn't the toughest part of our cars I'm afraid.

Sorry can't help on the specialists in your area, no doubt someone local will be along shortly

Cheers boys - I think it's got some life in it yet - but I was keen to get some feedback from anyone who has had it replaced - including the kind of pain we're going to feel in our wallet - assuming it's going to be quite a big job at least..... :boxing:

Still tryin' to get details of any specialists out there who would know what they're doing with a Z - so tuning the engine and replacing all consumables too - I'll be b*gered if I'm paying Dealer prices for that stuff..!! :scare:
