WoREoD Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 I'm going in to my local paint supplier later this week to get them to do a colour match on my Brembo calipers and see how much a they'd charge for a pot of touch-up paint. Dont know a price yet, but I'm sure multiple pots must bring the price per pot down, so anyone else up for this? JohnK Quote
Removed Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 I'm in.... a while ago I tried to contact Brembo directly for a paint code! I got transferred to different people with no definitive answer though unfortunately! mine are rather chipped so I'm in for sure! Quote
H5 Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 Yep, I'm in for that and maybe more than a touch up pot. Quote
WoREoD Posted October 5, 2006 Author Posted October 5, 2006 Progress: I've got a formula. Local paint supplier can mix but can only supply a half-litre pot or in spray cans. Spray cans would be £12.40 a go. Will look elsewhere now for someone to supply touch-up pots. Quote
Liam's Z Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 How much are half litre pots? Bloody hell H5 what you planning blinging orange??? Quote

Removed Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 spray cans can be used in the same way as touch up pots, just spary on a cardboard piece, get your mini brush, dip into colour just sprayed and touch up rather expensive, though for a spray can. How big would they be? 500ml? Quote
Revsport Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 I should be able to do these in touch up pots. I have a few hundred in my workshop. Any one know the paint code. Also whats the paint code for door handles. Lew Quote
Sylvester Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 I'm interested too ... mine are chipped.. :-(( Quote
Removed Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 that's the problem, getting hold of the paint code! A few months back I spent half a day on the phone to Brembo in Italy and got passed around to get the right person for the paint code... then he wasn't in! Tried to ring him since but can't catch him! given up since Quote
Sarnie Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Somebody somewhere posted it the other day. Can't remember what it was though, sure it was a Honda colour? Quote
Gus Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 From "somewhere else" Opel Vauxhall 40B, Giallo Capri Titan Gold, ask them to leave out a couple of grams of 'oxide red' Quote
Sarnie Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 From "somewhere else" Opel Vauxhall 40B, Giallo Capri Titan Gold, ask them to leave out a couple of grams of 'oxide red' Knew I'd read it somewhere Ignore the Honda bit though Quote
WoREoD Posted November 7, 2006 Author Posted November 7, 2006 I have a paint code. Its not from Brembo and I'm told its not quite right - needs a slight tweak on mixing. I'm going to get one spray can made up and try it - just as soon as I can find a couple of minutes breathing space. Watch this space.... Quote
