Japanese Autosport Festival Holland at the Assen track: PICS

Last Sunday I went to visit the Japanese Autosport Festival here in Holland located near the track of Assen. Some of you might know this track from the Dutch TT / Moto GP as there’s yearly race over there. The festival itself is basically a lot of cars from tuning clubs gathered around and loads of demonstrations like drifting, Meguiars detailing and quarter mile runs.

Of course I went in the Z with a friend. It’s about 200 km from my home, so basically a little less than 2 hours of driving. As the A1GP was held at Zandvoort the very same day, I knew the police would have their hidden speed camera’s set up on every major highway. Luckily there weren’t too many speed traps early in the morning, so I’ve might have been caught only once with speeding doing 150 km/h instead of 120. They were just setting up a speed camera, so it wasn’t know yet to the radio. Maybe I’ve been lucky as they just put it up.

About 20 km’s prior Assen I stopped at a fuel station to get some breakfast (10:30 am). Once inside the shop, eating a nice sandwich, 2 pretty girls came over wearing small shorts and shirts. They were definitely going to the festival as well and looked like some models doing car shoots. In fact they were and asked me whether that ‘nice black sports car’ was mine. Of course I said yes instantly, trying not to be too enthusiastic ;). They offered me 2 free tickets to the show (normally 15 euro each) and said we could park on the premise itself along with all the other tuned cars. Sounded pretty good…..

So we parked inside, getting a lot of attention. About 60% were old tuned cars like civics etc., Although there were quite some Evo’s, Impreza, Skylines, Type R’s etc.

The only major mod of my car is the 19â€

The car on the 2nd picture is the most beautiful. :teeth::p

And whats up with the MX? Now that is useful to have screens on the back of the front-seats, when there are no rear seats :scare:

show cars don't need to be purposeful ;) hence screens everywhere ;)

Mathys nice pics and thanks for the report! Hope you gave the site address to your new friends :)

The wheels the GM Z has are the Anteras.

The owner's claims about 340+hp with just a NA tune even if more extreme than what you mentioned are rather optimistic though, I have to say :)

Well, those are quite ordinary these days. Did you see the little screen though just above the license plate? That's extreme!

The girls weren't extremely hot, but I figured I might as well put some pics up with girls on them :p

Plus we don't want another what was the point of posting lady photos debate, it always ends in tears or permanet silence.
