anyone got one of these or info on data loggers

Alright fellow zedders, just been looking about for a data logger for the car. I seen this about a year ago in banzaii magazine.

Just wondering if anyone has one or used one. To be honest it has great reviews and is supposed to be 350quid retail but available at cheaper prices online.

 

Any comments, views and recommendations are welcome

Depends what your planning on doing with it.

 

Do you want something that just monitors in real time & clears codes or do you want something more in depth?

 

I use a scangauge 2 in my car, cost me about £120 i think

Hi Ian I'm looking for something for the track, track times, g-force, onscreen temps for inlet, oil, water.

 

I'm very inexperienced when it comes to this so I would really be looking for advice from someone who tracks and likes a bit of gadgetry.

 

What's scangauge like in terms of user friendlyness

Scangauge is dead easy to use & shows 4 different gauges at once.

 

You won't get oil temp from an OBD reader but intake & water temps you will.

 

I think my scangauge is setup at the moment to read intake temp, battery voltage, throttle postition & water tem (might be something other than water though)

 

I might look into getting something like the R34 MFD, If i can get one cheap enough to play around with & then ditch all my Defis

Had a little look at that there. Seems similar to the vi monitor but a more permanent fix. What do u think of the vi monitor? Seems as though it gets very good reviews. Can pick one up for 170 quid.
