:scare: well after six weeks of unexpected lack of use my zed is dead.....well central locking and ign dead that is.looks like the battery has gone flat.

before running out to do anything i thought i d check that all should be ok to do a ''jump start''.

didnt want to cause any probs.

advice please...the way things have been going i could do with a little luck.. :)

or you could if your desperate get the car rolling down a hill, have the keys in and in the "on" position then lift the clutch up at around 6,7mph.

 

Either that or get some people to push it to that kind of speed.

 

Actually, does this work in the z with the clutch down to turn over the engine sort of safety feature?

Is there a difference for Auto jumping??

 

I think people may be confusing jumping with bumping. Bump start requires more than one person or some stuntman style actions if doing on your own. Jump requires two electrical leads.

You can jump start both auto and manual, but only bump start a manual.
