s1xtyn1n3 Posted April 16, 2010 Share Posted April 16, 2010 Be interested to hear what our new member who works for Red bull team says about this true, although red bull have really nothing to do with toro rosso this year was going to ask what all this torro rosso stuff is about, and why they weren't called red bull ? *puts on f1 anorak* toro rosso and red bull are both owned by dietrich mateschitz (who owns the red bull drink company). red bull = old jaguar team toro rosso = old minardi team toro rosso initally was owned by both dm and gerhard berger (but then bought out fully by dm). the car was built by sister team red bull and was used for bringing up new drivers into f1 (such as vettel). since customer cars were banned for this season, toro rosso had to build their own car this year.
